Just outside a picturesque small village, Paul and Fran found their Italian dream home. An old farmhouse with thick ocher-colored sandstone walls, plenty of space, surrounded by fruit trees and views of Marche’s rolling hills and high fortified villages. The perfect Local Hideaway to slow down and to enjoy local Italian (rural) life. Suitable for maximum 6 persons.

With great care and patience, they embarked on a huge challenge: to renovate the farmhouse while respecting the old rusticity and integrating modern elements. And all with a great sense of aesthetics and design. So they transformed the house into a fantastic residence with a cosy living room, a fantastic kitchen, a quiet study, three spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, and several terraces. So much attention to detail can be found in this special home… from the beautiful terracotta tiled floors, the custom-made wooden doors to the special shower in the master bedroom.

This is where Paul and Fran love to spend their time in spring and autumn and here they have created a ‘home away from home’. But it’s a shame to leave the house empty for the remaining months so they also rent it out. How nice because, as you can understand, this house is no average holiday home and is equipped with all modern conveniences. And the wonderfully equipped kitchen diner will awaken the Italian chef in you.

BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS

It is the perfect base to discover the beautiful Marche: sleepy villages where time has stood still but where you can often find a super good and affordable restaurant or a coffee in the local pub; beautiful nature – perfect for hikers, mountain bikers or cyclists, the Adriatic coast is half an hour away – cosy beach clubs in summer and delicious fresh fish in the restaurants and the not-to-be-missed city of Ascoli Piceno.

Paul and Fran are happy to share their insider tips when you stay in their Italian dream. And above all, don’t feel burdened if you give in to the ‘dolce far niente’ because the house lends itself extremely well to that! This is a true Local Hideaway!
